I've never reflected on an anime movie before, but videos, including the two I use in this reflection,
recently showed up on my youtube account about an anime movie called A Silent Voice, which looks
interesting. I've never actually seen an anime movie before, including the one I reflect on now (I also
don't know if that will change). I also don't know the differences between an anime and manga
version of a movie (or understand how you can have a manga movie - I guess it would just be a story,
so perhaps the story would be better: I think that's the case with the anime version of this movie).
However, I can still get something out of the movie I reflect on based on the two videos I use of it,
which is communication.
There are two types of communication: verbal and non - verbal. Communication in manga would
obviously be entirely non - verbal due to what it is, but what makes anime interesting is its use of both
verbal and non - verbal communication. However, in both versions of this movie, non - verbal
communication is important, but in different ways due to the differences between anime and manga.
There are several interesting examples of non - verbal communication in the anime version of this
movie, like how the movie is filmed (focusing on certain things, including how to do that) and how it's
written (what certain characters do and why).
How it's written is also important in the manga version of it, which as I said before think is different
than the anime version in terms of what happens (more detail I think), but both versions involve
communication, which is the main thing I get out of this movie.
