Journey vs. destination in Samurai Champloo

One of the things usually seen in anime is the importance of the journey vs. the importance of the
destination. When I watched the anime Samurai Champloo recently, I saw an interesting example of
this idea of journey vs. destination, which is also explained by the video used in this reflection.
In the beginning of this anime, the three main characters are living separate lives, but come
together by chance to help one of these main characters, which is how their journey begins. This
journey is pretty random, which is supported by the destination of this journey. These characters
don't know where their destination is, so they find it by traveling together. However, this destination
is only for one person to find a person only they know. Once they get close to their destination, this
person decides to finish this part of the journey by themselves, even though the other characters also
end up at this destination too.
After this destination, these characters continue to live separate lives by traveling on their own,
but this time, it is after they have traveled together. Journeys are different before and after the
destination of the first journey and this is seen in Samurai Champloo.
