The reality of Akira

Even though Akira provides social commentary on the year 2019, I think that its message is even more
relevant now due to what the year 2020 has been like so far. The reality of what we are experiencing
now is like the reality of Akira (and not just because both are confusing), both on a universal level and
on an individual level.
On a universal level, we are all experiencing reality in the sense that what is happening in the world
now is happening to all of us. We all may be different, but what we experience on a universal level is
the same. The difference is how we handle what happens, which everyone does differently based on
who they are. This is seen in Akira, as well as our own lives, which leads to how we experience
reality on an individual level.
In addition to handling what happens to us differently based on who we are, dealing with reality on an
individual level is how we can deal with reality on a universal level. Like I said, how we handle what
happens to all of us is something that we all handle differently based on who we are. Other important
factors in this are what we are doing, why we are doing it, and when we do it. Examples of this are
seen in Akira, as well as in our own lives, or realities.
