Equality in Lupin the 3rd: The Castle of Cagliostro

     In addition to having preferences with what kind of anime people prefer, everyone also has their

own preferences as to how certain anime characters are seen. The first video of this reflection gives a

detailed history of the main character in the movie Lupin the 3rd: The Castle of Cagliostro. 

Basically, the main character in this movie is seen differently than he is in other works with this main

character for several reasons. 

     While the second video in this reflection also gets into this history, the main thing I focus on it is

the idea of equality seen in this movie.  Male characters are just as important as female characters,

which is usually seen in the works of Hayao Miyazaki.  If a female needs to be saved by a male,

which is usually the case in anime, then the male needs to be saved too by a female.  Examples of

this equality are seen in the anime movie Lupin the 3rd: The Castle of Cagliostro.
