Examples of anime research

      For my post this week, I decided to do something different from what I usually do again.  During this 

week, I spent time working on papers for my graduate school courses that are examples of anime 

research.  I mentioned that I would be doing this in recent posts, so I figured I would publish this research 

here.  Anyway, the first paper is more of an indirect example of anime research.  It is more about a 

worldview of awareness (the assignment was to talk about our worldview) and anime is part of that for 

me.  I talk about this awareness in my second paper, which is more of a direct example of anime 

research.  I could talk more about these papers, but I already did that when writing them, so here they are

Monks in anime: The Boy and the Beast

Anime Lectio: Luce's Crusade

                                                              1. Why do Anime Lectio?   Anime Lectio is a time for us to stop and take a breath. Between work, activities, family life, and social media, our minds are always moving. We rarely take time to contemplate and ask, why am I watching this anime? What’s the point of all this? And, how is this making me feel?  2. Put away all distractions  (phones, work, etc.) We are so enslaved to things that stimulate our minds.
