Adaptability in Darwin's Game

One of the reasons I wondered about continuing to use videos for these reflections in my previous

post is that it's hard to find at least one that focuses on what I think about the series that I reflect on.  Most

videos, like the one for this reflection, tend to focus on how the series looks, what happens in it, and

details that relate to what happens in the series.   There is nothing wrong with doing that.  I just don't like

doing it, but using a video that does this can help me with what I try to do here.  In other words, if I say

videos do this a lot, then I should have one as an example, as well as to explain what the series is about so

I can focus on what I think about it.

What I think this series is about is adaptability, which is seen in this video when talking about the main

character.  The name of this game is adaptability, which comes from the fact that this is called Darwin's

Game with the Darwin most likely referring to scientist and evolution scholar Charles Darwin.  I guess

focusing on a lot of the details of the show that involve fighting serves as a distraction for missing what

the fighting is all about, which is survival of the fittest, a phrase attributed to Darwin (I think it's said in

the series - there is also mention of his work The Origin of Species, but that is for the date in order to

figure out some sort of code).   There is always a reason for the fighting, even if it's stupidly awesome,

which is usually the case (for obvious reasons), and Darwin's Game is no exception to that.
