     In the anime Nichijou - My Ordinary Life, the ordinary life that's part of the title is also referred to as 

everyday life, which is a better way to understand it.  The lives in this show aren't exactly ordinary, but 

are part of their everyday experiences.  A monk is part of these everyday experiences, as seen in the parts 

of the episodes that he appears in for this reflection.  Like in other reflections, this monk is also a priest, 

so he could be just a priest, but he could also be a monk and priest assigned to a temple to help people 

with their everyday lives.
