The heart of Gantz

Gantz is a series that I have never even heard of until the video I use in this reflection about it came

up on my youtube account recently as a recommended video.  Since this video kept appearing on my

account when continuously refreshing the page, and I noticed who made the video, I decided to check

it out.  If I didn't do that, it's very likely I would have little to no interest in this series at all, or have

even known what it was about, but due to this video explaining it, I would reconsider.  As the video

suggests, the heart of Gantz is what makes it appealing and is why you should care about it, which

involves getting into the meanings of the word heart.

When referring to the heart of something like a form of media (anime or manga - both are good, but

have their own advantages or disadvantages, like with this series), it's usually referring to what it's

really about.  However, the interesting thing about Gantz, and this video about it in particular, is that

getting to the heart of it requires getting past all the "negative" things about it, which this video about it

actually spends most of the time talking about.  Heart can also mean core, or center, so the center, or

core, of Gantz is what the video talks about in the end after everything else, meaning despite the

horrifying ways it may happen, people are still brought together to help each other.
