Contact vs. connection in Kids on the Slope

Recently, I saw a Facebook post where an explanation was given of the differences between contact

and connection.  Basically, contact is just seeing a person and connection is spending meaningful time

with them.  This is also seen in the anime Kids on the Slope, as well as parts of the video for this

reflection.

Kids on the Slope is also a music anime not just an anime with music in it.  An easy way to tell the

difference between music anime and anime with music in it is if music is part of the story's development,

not just part of the story in terms of setting the mood (or certain moods).  Music is one of the ways to

establish connection, which is usually how connection is established successfully.  When connection isn't

established successfully, it's just contact.
