Introduction to monks in anime series

     Recently in my current graduate school course, my mentor shared the above website with me.  This 

course is called Non-fiction Writing in Transpersonal Subjects.  Since he already knows that I'm 

interested in writing the work of non-fiction he wants us to write about anime, he sent me the link to a 

website of anime with monks in them.  While this does sound like an interesting idea for a book, meaning 

writing a book about examples of monks in anime, I think this would be better material for a second book 

after writing a first book that is more about my introduction to anime like the book Anime Impact, but 

instead of multiple contributors, I would be the only contributor.  The material for that first book would 

be based on some of what I have written here already (it's now really a question of when I would do 

that).  Since I haven't written anything yet about monks in anime on this blog, I will now be starting a 

monks in anime series here with this introduction in addition to what I continue writing about on this blog 

(and the martial arts one I contribute to).

Between work, activities, family life, and social media, our minds are always moving. We rarely take time to contemplate and ask, why am I watching this anime? What’s the point of all this?
