Co-creation in Heaven's Design Team

Heaven's Design Team is an anime that I checked out due to my curiosity about what it's about, which

is explained in a rather accurate way in the video for this reflection. The usual creation story from

Genesis starts like it usually does, but it changes when God gets to the creation of animals. Instead of

creating all of the animals Himself, God has a team of angels do that, even though God is still involved.

God doesn't want to create things Himself all of the time. He wants us to help Him do that. It isn't clear

if every new animal is created this way, but the point is that creation involves helping God, or whatever

you call God, which is called co-creation.

The idea of helping God with creation, or co-creation, is something that I actually started thinking

about before I even knew about this anime. For example, I took a graduate school course in the graduate

school program that I am almost finished with called Origin & Destiny of Human Consciousness. For our

final assignment at the end of the semester when I took this course, which was about a week or two

before the anime Heaven's Design Team started, we had to write a paper about what we thought about the

origin and destiny of human consciousness was, or our own theory of evolution since both are tied to each

other. In my paper, I talked about the idea of co-creation as being linked to evolution (co-creation

theory). Co-creation is also important in the anime Heaven's Design Team not only because of helping

God with creation, but also helping to continue this creation by making changes to it, which is also what

co-creation is.
