Monks in anime: Gravitation

In addition to being a music anime, Gravitation is an anime that also deals with love, which is what

the monks in this anime help with, as seen in the video for this reflection.  As I mentioned before when

reflecting on music anime, there is more to music anime than the music and this something more

usually involves love.  However, this love is usually limited to a boy loving a girl or a girl loving a

boy.  But what about other kinds of love, like a boy loving another boy, which is seen in this anime?

Also, are love and romance different?  For example, is love limited to something like music, but

romance to people?

Anyway, in this anime the two monks involved with love and/or romance in this series are an older

monk who is a father, which is possible since I know a monk with kids (the monk had his marriage

annulled before becoming a monk), and a younger monk who is one of his sons.  In the video for this

reflection, this younger monk searches for the fiancee of his brother, but he actually ends up presenting

the male lover of the brother to his other family members who are waiting to see her instead of the

female fiancee.  The younger monk thinks this shouldn't matter because he doesn't see the big deal

about a guy loving a guy, but the older monk most likely cares based on his reaction to what

happens.   The difference in opinion with these monks is most likely due to age, but there are also other

factors, like the younger monk being a bisexual (I am not sure how this works with monks).  Love and

romance tends to be interesting in anime.  Gravitation is an example of this.  And this example has

monks in it.
