Monks in anime: Hinamatsuri

      I don't think Hinamatsuri is an anime that is on that list of monks in anime, but there are monks in it 

briefly, but instead of showing videos of those brief moments (those videos can be seen on the martial arts 

blog I help with), I will use an article I found about it for this reflection instead.  I actually found the 

article when doing a google search on something else from the series.  Instead of getting a definition for 

what I was looking for, I found an article for the series and decided to use it for this reflection.

     Anyway, as the article indicates, Hinamatsuri doesn't really continue with what it started with.  It starts 

out as a story about a girl learning martial arts from monks, and her using her martial arts skills to run 

away from the monks, but the story really focuses on who the girl is trying to find.  It starts one way, but 

continues and finishes in another way, which includes seeing more of what it started with, but not much 

more.
